Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies App Reviews

First and foremost, IAPs are gone and play balance is great. Everything that was good about Ace Patrol is even better here. A great casual strategy game that is simple in concept but actually very deep.

Fighting above the trenches of France in the First Ace Patrol was fun, but dueling for control of the Pacific is even better! Great job, Sid. Great job, 2K and Firaxis. Heres hoping we can take the fight to Europe for the next game so we can stop the German War Machine that grips Europe in terror. Plus we could fight as the Soviets and push back the German Army.

No autosave or replay is annoying, and there are indeed some quirks...but this game is a blast! Definitely one of the most entertaining apps Ive ever had. Not huge differences from the old one...but the first one is awesome too, and more flavors of awesome is just cool.

If you are looking for a flying fighting game, avoid this bore

Saved my game, was able to load it. Tried to play a couple days later and there was no save game.

So I seen some reviews saying they could not hit the enemy below now I did so i was confused then i realized they must have been right under the plane I still think the save no work thing is true although I have not had it to me

I think this series is great! Even better than the initial World War I series. Fairly easy to win on the casual version, as it should be, with challenging levels available. There simply must be a World War II European theater air warfare version created! Ill pay in advance for that!! All in all, very, very well done! I pay in advance for that!

It is a good sequel. No in app purchases so you can play the whole game without any extra money. Historicity? Not so much. The battles arent quite as varied as in the original game. But a very, very nice game that expands on the original but does not outshine the original.

Great game, but Im having a problem with the badge app icon not going away even when Im not in a multiplayer match. Fix?

.... But more of the same really. Planes seem deadlier, attacks down opponents really quickly. Larger size of board makes it harder to tell individual planes without zooming in. Id played the original to death and really havent found enough new and different here to sustain interest, especially the missions. If you arent burnt out on Ace patrol, though, its a good game, though id pick the original over this.

A bit disappointing. There is less to do, and it is less interesting than other Sid Meier games. Unless you are really sure, save your money.

This game hasnt hooked me in a way that makes me want to play constantly, but its perfect to pick up and play a mission or two at a time. I like the concept, and appreciate the lack of in app purchases.
